Wow, what a year it was last year! 2019 Consisted of portfolio building, birthday parties, wedding engagements, baby showers, birthday photo shoots, anniversary parties and many more events that I covered with my camera. I've done a few more shoots since my last blog post all the way up to this point in the year (We're already in February) and I can't wait to recap and talk about it with you all.

     A baby shower, a surprise birthday party, and a 50th anniversary celebration were just a few of the events that I've covered in the past several months. In December I was booked for two of those events; Firstly I found myself at a baby shower where whistles were getting blown, pampers made out of toilet paper were being created, and beautiful unsuspecting moments of the future parents were captured on an over-sized seating chair and in front of a decorative setup. From start to finish the baby shower was a joyous ride filled with fun moments shared with both sides of the family. Later on in the month, I took on an exciting challenge by capturing a surprise birthday party for a wonderful family. Taking snaps of the birthday girl's family and friends before the arrival of the VIP was complicated because the venue was pretty small and it's only so many shots one could get before the party really gets started. Finally upon arrival, I got in position and got some great shots of the birthday girl's reaction as everyone shouted "Surprise!". From hugs and kisses, to poses with loved ones, I was glad to capture such extravagant memories. "The first 50 years is easy...it's the last 50 years you have to worry about" was a quote that was said during this special event. The last event up to this point was in January where I had the pleasure of capturing this couple's 50th anniversary. With classical Spanish music, fresh hors d'oeuvores, and an open bar, you can imagine how exquisite and exciting this 40 and over club was. Towards the end of the party, a speech was given by the couple's children as well as close friends as everyone reminisced and talked about the special day that sealed the love birds together.

    A few photo shoots were also on the calendar during the last few months as well. I traveled up and down US1, making stops in South Beach, Wynwood, and South Miami. Shortly after the 50th Anniversary, I followed through with a photo shoot with a model all the way from Canada. This model was ready for the sunny vibes in the Miami sands as she posed with greenery in her background and walked out of the water oozing confidence. In the same time frame I hit the graffiti filled streets of Wynwood to snap the highlights for this 4th birthday photo shoot. Complimented with a huge, shiny, silver number 4 balloon, in her background and a supporting family, this little one was getting the "Aww's" from the curious crowd of people as she posed for her close-ups. To finish a productive January, I hit the tennis courts in South Miami where this model was causing a racket (no pun intended). Every photo shoot is unique and may come with obstacles and this one wasn't any different. Unfortunately we couldn't hit the courts right away due to the fact that they were being cleaned so instead we improvised with the nearby practice wall and open green space. After getting some awesome shots the courts were finally able to be walked upon where I made some magic happen with my camera as she served looks. With 2019 ending on a great note and 2020 starting off smoothly, I'm looking forward to what the rest of the year has in store and I can't wait to share it all.
