August - September 2018 - The Process

The last quarter of 2018 is here and what a 4th quarter it's been so far! 2018 has had it's shares of ups and downs but the glass is always half full. I'm learning to look for the positives messages in every situation I find myself in no matter how good or difficult the situation may be, is, or was. Over the past couple of weeks, I snapped a fun trio of models in Brickell, got live actions shots during a football workout on the beach, I've done a sports photo shoot with a college basketball player, caught some fun moments at a 35th birthday party, captured some stunning photos on the beach for a bridal party, had an awesome birthday shoot for a 1 year old, and I was able to network, photograph, and practice studio shots with a modeling agency and some dope models!

As the days pass by and photo inquiries come my way, I find myself falling more and more in love with "The Process". "The Process" can have a different meaning to a lot of different people, but to me it's simply engaging on social media platforms, editing my pictures, talking to and/or responding to clients or potential clients, writing this blog, thinking of other concepts in order to learn and grow, practicing my craft and of course posting my work. August was a perfect month to really dive into my passion because it opened the doors to many different avenues of opportunities that I'm grateful for.

"The Process" could also include the intangible frustrations like a canceled photo session, lack of communication from a client and even Miami's weather. It's been scorching hot throughout the past month and I know because majority of my shoots have been outside. Finding shade under a palm tree when I can or wiping my forehead so sweat can't run into my eyes has been a consistent ritual when I find myself using the sun as my lighting source. Even though temperatures read 90 degrees on most days and humidity made other days feel like I was going to melt to the pavement, I smiled and thoroughly enjoyed whatever shoot I was doing because I was doing what I love and I want to embrace any and every moment throughout my photography experience. I'm always able to continue my shoot with good vibes and positive energy and I'm glad it shows through my results after everything was said and done. Throughout the past weeks I've been able to do my first studio shoot with an outstanding modeling agency and some talented models. I didn't know what to expect since I've always done outside shoots but after the butterflies were gone, I was able to capture some beautiful photos and now I'm able to add "In house shoots" to my list of accomplishments and resume. Here are a couple of pictures over the past couple of weeks that I hope you all can enjoy! As always, thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this and have a blessed day!
