Hey everyone and welcome to another post! Last week I did not one, not two, but three photo shoots back-to-back. I was all over the place; Hitting South Beach for a maternity shoot, taking pictures in walk ways and dead ends in Coconut Grove, and strolling down Coral Way for about 5 blocks. Each photo shoot was different and unique in it's own way and I was glad I was able to provide my services the best way I knew how.
"A baby is as pure as an angel and as fresh as a blooming flower" and this soon-to-be-mother was glowing during her maternity shoot. I've done a few photo shoots for Nia and Mike before so it was an honor being able to take pictures for this special occasion as well. Taking maternity photos are special to me because I'm able to capture the love and joy the mother has for their child, even before their child is born. Upon arriving at South Beach Nia was ready to get the shoot started and so was I, we have to remember that she's carrying a child and all the walking (especially in sand) can take a toil. Luckily we already knew what we were going for so the photo shoot would be smooth and fluid. With the help of Mike, Nia was ready for her big moment and once she was ready I quickly went to work. From capturing her motherly-aura from some rocks to directing Mike and Nia to pose together for the final shots, I was grateful to use my gift for this remarkable photo shoot.
"You can leave me in the jungle with bears and tigers, I'm comin' out fly" are some lyrics from the song "Monster" by 21 Savage and it describes this next model perfectly. For the first shoot of 2019, CJ was going for a Street/Urban look and he had the best fit for the shoot. Dressed in an orange Tommy Hilfiger sweatshirt, blue jeans, and some orange, white, and blue Air Max 95s, CJ was ready for the first location which was a pathway located on the outskirts of Coconut Grove. I picked this spot because it was quiet, secluded, and it created the perfect vibe for a gritty yet smooth look. After posing in walkways and taking candids on large rocks, we made our way over to a dead-end street where we would finish the shoot. One of the best qualities of Coconut Grove is that it's located right next to the Atlantic Ocean, so every 'Dead-End' street can potentially lead to water (like this one did). From using trees and bushes as a background, to posing on guard rails and taking shots while walking from the water, CJ was dressed fly and I got it all on camera.
Coral Way was this aspiring model's garden and she blossomed and bloomed throughout the whole shoot. To cap off a productive week of photo shoots, I did a shoot with Natalie down the strip of Coral Way. This shoot was different as she added a vibrant floral headband to compliment her outfit and the setting. From starting at the corner of LeJune Road and Coral way (42nd Ave & 24th St), and heading East, ending at Douglas Road and Coral Way (37th Ave & 24th St.) we took candids and poses up and down the block. The forecast was great, the vibe in the air was lively, and we were just in time for "Golden Hour" so throughout the shoot Natalie was radiating! As we made our trip down Coral Way, people stared and complimented the concept and Natalie's outfit, and one group even stopped and asked for pictures. Towards the end of the shoot, we we're greeted by a small green space located right in front of the Denny's on the corner of Douglas Road. By this point the sun was setting so it was a perfect spot for Natalie to plant and solidify a fantastic afternoon with a few more shots. All-in-all I've had an abundance of photo shoots this past week and I have a lot of work to do, but you can't complain about how much you have on your plate when the goal was to eat. I'm ready for more and I can't want to write about the future. Thank you as always for taking your time out to read my blog, God bless and have a wonderful day!
