Happy New Year and welcome to my first blog post of 2019! Heading into 2019 I couldn't be more excited to have my first photo shoot just two days into the New Year. The occasion was a family photo shoot and it was a beautiful day to be located at Miami Beach and South Pointe Park. From swinging their 3 year old son and playfully tossing him in the air to posing together and separately for their own shots, to wrapping things up by finishing with water and sand in between their toes. This photo shoot was an awesome way to start the new year and here's how it went down.

     It's always a challenge having a photo shoot at South Pointe Park, but the reward is always worth it. After spending more than enough time in traffic and finally finding a parking spot, you can rest assure that the park will provide you with positive vibes soaked with rich auras. Choosing this location was perfect for this family as it complimented not only their outfits but their personalities and energy as well. I was excited to meet Alicia, her husband Antwain, and their 3 year old son Ace, and likewise they were eager and ready to start their photo shoot. After Antwain took Ace off his shoulders and Alicia made sure her boys were ready, we were off to what would be a fantastic photo shoot session.

     One of the best features about South Pointe Park is the fact that the location can provide different looks, scenery, and backgrounds depending on the vision you have for the shoot and where you're located in the park. Located South-East of the park is an open area for great group photos as well as spots for capturing the perfect candid shots. Likewise the open area is also one of the starting zones for the 20-foot wide walking promenade that leads to the South Pointe Park Pier. Adjacent North of the walkway are two open fields with palm trees planted on the outskirts and there're also hidden gardens and walkways closer to the North side of the park and the parallel side of the walkway offers the panoramic views of The Atlantic Ocean, Fisher Island, Downtown Miami and Biscayne Bay. After taking pictures throughout the park, strolling from the East, to the West, the family and I finished the photo shoot on a great note by ending it at the beach.
